The
production Process at Digimax Studio
There are four distinct stages in the production of a
Video, Audio, and Film project: Pre-production, production, post-production and
distribution.
Pre-Production:
Script/Schedule/Budget: A visualization team develops a
concept and it is then brainstormed with the aid of storyboards. We evaluate all
potential options that will make the project unforgettable.
The scripting process begins once the main objectives and budgets are agreed
upon with management. Shortly thereafter a package is presented to management
covering every detail of the production process. It consists of a finished
script; crew lists, shooting schedules, etc.
These documents are reviewed, revised and then approved. After necessary
approvals we go about the business of actually making the film.
Production:
Productions vary in length, sometimes wrapping in a
single day or taking up to several weeks. The crew sizes range from five to
forty people, and the primary production formats are 16 or 35-millimeter film,
DV, High Definition or Betacam.
Our experienced DP, videographers and photographers are capable of excellent
coverage of your various wares and locations. We have the ability to do
multi-locations on a turnkey basis. Once the shooting is completed, we view the
footage for repetition and re-shoot.
Post-Production:
The entire captured footage is logged into our editing
workstations in a digital format. Our creative editors put the ideas envisaged
in the concept and script onto the actual film. The film is edited complete with
relevant transitions, special effects, cuts and titles to your satisfaction.
This phase takes anywhere from two to twenty days depending on the length of the
film. It includes color correction, digital effects and graphics.
Work on the sound design begins primarily after editing is done. This includes
the addition of final narration, musical score, sound effects tracks and final
mixing.
Distribution:
The target market(s) are analyzed and identified early on
in the pre-production process and distribution formats are chosen accordingly.
